Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced ArrayScan Infinity High Content Platform |

Explore the cell, without limits - with the Thermo Scientific* ArrayScan* Infinity High Content Platform. Designed for your most demanding high content assays and cell biology challenges, the new platform features the latest in variable pin-hole confocal technology, solid-state LED illumination, live cell and label free capabilities, coupled with our best-in-class image analysis and bioinformatics software.
As scientists increasingly apply high-content analysis to stem cell characterization, multi-dimensional cell models, primary cultures and tissues, the challenges posed by these applications demand new types of imaging techniques. The ArrayScan* Infinity High Content Platform brings the latest advances in multi-dimensional high-content imaging and analysis without sacrificing your productivity.
Take a Tour of the ArrayScan Infinity

The heart of the Arrayscan* Infinity is an integrated confocal module to provide maximum flexibility for all your biology and cell based assay needs. Featuring the latest in high-speed Nipkow spinning disk technology and a variable pinhole, you now have finer control over image acquisition across a range of objectives (magnifications) in order to balance image quality and performance for your most demanding cell biology experiments, e.g stem cell colonies, tissues and 3D microenvironments.

Live cell capability gives scientists the ability to not only image live cells, but to keep those cells alive for both short and long-term experiments in a physiologically relevant environment similar to that of a tissue culture incubator. The Live Cell Module enables the dynamics of intracellular molecular interactions and cell motion to be studied. In addition, to maintain cells in optimal focus during long live cell experiments the ArrayScan* Infinity is configured with the Zeiss* Definite Focus module.
To answer the need for label-free detection, the ArrayScan* Infinity is fitted with a brightfield module. The images collected by the Brightfield Module can be used to quantitate morphological features of cells, or as a way to gain an extra channel for fluorescence; increasing assay flexibility and significantly expanding assay capabilities. Use this label-free method of detection to confirm cell density or fluorescence probe localization, as well as to quantitate morphological features on images with or without fluorescent markers.
Analysis software is key to extracting information about cell events from the images.Thermo Scientific* iDev workflow* software offers cell biology researchers an interactive, intuitive environmentfor high-content assay development. Literally hundreds of biologies may be investigated with the image analysis modules (BioApplications).
